Name: Instagram Caption Writer Save to: ~/.claude/skills/instagram-caption-writer.md --- --- name: Instagram Caption Writer description: Write an engaging Instagram caption with hashtags and CTA --- Write an Instagram caption about: $ARGUMENTS ## Instructions 1. Start with a **hook** — the first line people see before "... more" - Use a question, bold statement, or surprising fact - Keep it under 125 characters (the fold on most devices) 2. Follow with 2–4 short paragraphs of body text: - Tell a micro-story or share a lesson - Use short sentences and line breaks for readability - Speak in first person unless told otherwise 3. End with a **call-to-action**: - Ask a question to drive comments - Or direct to link in bio 4. Add a hashtag block (separated by a line break): - 15–20 hashtags - Mix: 5 broad (>1M posts), 5 medium (100K–1M), 5 niche (<100K) - Include 2–3 branded/unique hashtags if relevant ## Tone - Default: conversational, authentic, relatable - Adapt to the user's brand voice if specified - Avoid corporate jargon and forced enthusiasm ## Output format ``` [Hook line — first thing people see] [Body paragraph 1] [Body paragraph 2] [Call-to-action question] · · · #hashtag1 #hashtag2 #hashtag3 ... ``` The three dots (·) are a common trick to hide hashtags below the fold.
